We have a Surprise!


Tonight at 8:00pm EST is our television debut! And guess what? We have a little surprise… one more recipe. You may be familiar with it. In fact, it has been around for a while and it is one of our most popular recipes. Are you ready?

Feast your eyes upon the Everyday Cookin’ Greens Recipe. We wanted to feature this recipe because it’s the one we cooked up for the Dragons in the Den, and they loved it! We hope you will enjoy it too!


Everyday Cookin’ Greens Recipe
Serves 2, as a side-dish or use as the base for a variety of other recipes.


  • 3-4 tbsp (45-60 ml) olive or vegetable oil
  • 2-3 med. garlic cloves-finely chopped
  • 2 1/2 cups (250g) of your favourite Cookin’ Greens™ (Kale, Rapini, Designer’s Mix, Spinach)
  • 1/2 cup (250 ml) chicken or vegetable stock* (*optional – helps soften the greens)
  • 1/4 tsp (1 ml) sea salt(or to taste)
  • 1/8 tsp (0.5 ml) pepper(or to taste)
  • 1-2 tsp (5-10 ml) balsamic vinegar(optional)


  1. Heat oil in large frying pan; add garlic. Stir.
  2. Add your favorite Cookin’ Greens™ product. Stir.
  3. Add stock (optional). Cook over medium heat 6 -7 minutes stirring frequently.Reduce heat to low.
  4. Add salt and pepper to taste; blend well, cook one minute longer or until desired tenderness.
  5. Remove from heat. Drizzle balsamic vinegar(optional) on top of your greens. Serve immediately or enjoy chilled.

Serving suggestions tips: Top with grated parmesan cheese or asiago cheese, sprinkle roasted pinenuts,toss in crumbled feta cheese, add chopped sundried tomatoes, add currents or craisons, mix with couscous, bulgar, small pasta, quinoa, any type of rice/grain or legume to increase protein. Serve with grilled tofu, chicken or protein of your choice.
